Enrichment

All Saints Enrichment Program Mission

We offer an array of extra-curricular activities for a fee during the fall and spring. Our courses typically include 12 weekly afternoon sessions from 3:15PM to 4:15PM, unless otherwise noted in the course description. All AM course offerings run from 11:20AM to 12:05PM. The goal of the All Saints Enrichment Program is to provide unique courses in order for students to sample and expand different areas of interest. Courses are taught by highly qualified individuals and organizations that provide age-appropriate curriculum.

Enrichment Session 2: Spring Course Descriptions

Nursery & Pre-K

Junior Builders w/Lego Bricks - (Monday-AM Only) $262
This class is designed specifically for preschool-aged children to learn about letters, numbers, shapes and colors. The students will create exciting models using DUPLO® bricks, allowing them to build in a scale designed for their little hands. The alphabet-based curriculum introduces developmentally-appropriate concepts such as counting and patterning, recognizing colors and shapes, positional words, ordering, and fine motor skills.

Silly Art Masterpieces! By Abrakadoodle (Tuesday-AM Only) $277
From silly monsters, to giraffes taking a bath, to pig parties, this fun and creative series will bring lots of giggles as the students create art using paint, clay, balloons and other wacky tools.

Super Soccer Stars (Tuesday-AM Only) $350

Get the ball rolling! Super Soccer Stars, the Tri-State area’s most popular soccer development program, comes to All Saints! Dynamic, international coaches work with every student to develop skills, self-confidence and teamwork in an enjoyable, non-competitive environment. Positive reinforcement ensures that each child will improve his/her soccer skills through engaging warm-ups, drills and games all while having endless fun! Each child receives a free t-shirt on the first day of class.

Fun With Food (Wednesday-AM Only) $415
11:20-12:25pm
Students will explore recipes that will challenge their growing culinary skills.  Weekly themes help students explore foods in various categories e.g. appetizers, brunch, dessert etc. Class participants will discover the fun, and sometimes the challenge, of working with different types of ingredients.  Students will also continue to refine kitchen skills such as cutting, measuring, folding etc. As always, kitchen safety, cleanliness, table manners, sharing, and working as a team, are other lessons taught throughout the term.

Head to Toe (Thursday-AM Only) $262
Head to Toe has provided a quality gymnastic and physical skills program by teaching through the use of structured exercises, games, music and fun for more than a decade. Parents will note the difference this program will have in the development of their children, setting a course for recognizing a center of balance, coordination and maintaining a healthy body weight.

Learn French! (Friday-AM Only) $415
Learn Language is designated to teach language and culture focusing on the development of auditory and verbal skills in a fun, fast-paced environment by professional, experienced instructors.  The teaching methods focus on utilizing art, culture, music, games and other language-relevant learning activities. Lessons are developed to promote conversation and comprehension via the thematic curriculum. Previous exposure to the language is not required for participation. Students of all levels are welcomed!

Kindergarten

Learn Mandarin! (Monday) $415
Learn Language is designated to teach language and culture focusing on the development of auditory and verbal skills in a fun, fast-paced environment by professional, experienced instructors.  The teaching methods focus on utilizing art, culture, music, games and other language-relevant learning activities. Lessons are developed to promote conversation and comprehension via the thematic curriculum. Previous exposure to the language is not required for participation, students of all levels are welcomed!

Lego Engineering & Construction (Monday) $277
Lego Engineering classes explore architecture, engineering and technology.  Students build a new project each week using LEGO® bricks and elements.  Each unit is based on engaging themes such as space, inventions, famous buildings and more. The class provides a fun, hands-on learning and building experience focused on STEM concepts. The goal of Bricks 4 Kidz is to provide a learning experience for children that encourages critical thinking, creativity, organizational skills, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Power Brain Yoga (Tuesday) $375
Power Brain Yoga can help develop important skills in a fun, non-competitive environment. This course helps children awaken their brain power to achieve physical, mental and emotional balance function. It also develops spontaneity and structure, so that children learn to listen to themselves and each other as well as to express themselves creatively.  Children learn in a multi-sensory environment exploring visual and aural learning through story, song, games, and poses.

Super Duper Tennis (Wednesday) $350
Students will learn the FUNdamentals of tennis using USTA-approved "10 and Under" tennis techniques, sized down and safe equipment, portable nets and soft foam and rubber tennis balls.  This beginner's class will increase in difficulty through the sessions, as new skills are learned.  Students will be introduced to both forehand and backhand strokes, with a heavy focus on basic sports skills such as catching, tossing and tracking.  By the end of the session, drop hits, volleys and overheads will also be covered.

Magic is Primary (Thursday) $350
Students will learn tricks, games, and puzzles that will reinforce classroom concepts.  Each lesson comes with an age-appropriate magic trick that the students can easily perform and take home with beautifully designed hard book pages.  By the end of the course, the students have a magic book of incantations (AKA short rhymes) and activities.  The pages are created to be used with dry erase markers so the activities can be done over and over.

Capoeira-Self-Defense (Friday) $475
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines elements of combat, acrobatics, music, dance and rituals in a very elegant and dynamic way. During a Capoeira session, students will learn martial arts techniques, discover acrobatics, play musical instruments and explore cultures. Capoeira improves coordination, builds flexibility, enhances concentration, boosts self-confidence and promotes an active lifestyle. This unique technique and educational approach to fitness makes Capoeira a martial art like no other!

Grades 1-4

Please Note: When registering for Enrichment courses, Play rehearsals are scheduled for Mondays after school and Service Club is offered on Wednesdays after school.

Hip-Hop 1 (Monday) $277

This high-energy class continues to develop hip hop class and performance skills. Current popular dance moves are broken into easy to learn segments that keep it fun and interesting. Dancers will continue to develop musicality, body awareness, self-esteem, physical strength and coordination and teamwork skills. Classes incorporate musicality exercises, isolations, core strengthening, breakdancing and both learning and creating choreography. Dancers perform at the end of each session in an open dance class and are invited to dance with other Hip Hop Classes in other events.

LEGO Junior Robotics (Monday) $305
BRING YOUR OWN TABLET! Take your LEGO® experience to the next level with this engaging class that offers all the fun and learning of our popular technic building classes, plus the challenge of computer programming! Using LEGO® We-Do drag-and-drop icon based software (designed specifically for elementary ages), sensors and remote controls; your child will further customize their builds by adding sound and motion. An excellent introduction into the world of computer programming and robotics that will ignite their imagination with possibilities in today's technological world.

Ms. Therres' Junior Art Studio (Monday) $277
Expand your child's knowledge of not only art history but also art making techniques! This course will build on students’ current knowledge of art and delve into specific media and skills, including portraiture, still life and more. The course will be comprised of large group demonstrations along with one-on-one tips and tricks. Each child will go home with several finished pieces of art as well as newfound knowledge and confidence in their artistic abilities.

Red Dove Steppers (Monday) $375

Just like the drumline in a marching band is made up of percussion instruments, Steppers will learn to use their entire body as an instrument to produce complex rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word and hand claps. While stepping draws from elements of gymnastics, break dance, tap dance, marching band or African and Caribbean dance, they will enhance their training through liturgical dance and mime. Steppers will continue to develop team building skills, body awareness and self-esteem and will perform at the end of each session in an open dance class.

“Airplanes Pilots” (Tuesday) $305

Who would think learning important STEM concepts could be fun? The physics of flying is made simple and enjoyable with Hobby Quest’s Airplanes - Pilots. You’ll learn the science of how to build and actually fly our all-new, high-soaring models. How far will yours go? How high will it climb? Why does it fly? This fall will be packed with tons of building and flying fun-and you’ll learn a great deal too! Have a seat and prepare for takeoff by making Airplanes – Pilots your next science adventure!

Discover Magic! (Tuesday) $350
Become engrossed and entertained in learning magic tricks. Studies have shown that the art of magic helps students build key life skills like self-discipline, self-confidence and interpersonal abilities. In fact, it’s best described as a life skills course camouflaged as a magic class. This class will be taught by Master Magicians certified by the New Jersey Magic Academy.

Hip-Hop 3 (3+4) (Tuesday) $277

Metal Jewelry Creations (Tuesday) $375

Art jewelry emphasizes creative expression and design. Students will use a variety of materials including metal, wood, glass, found object, and paper to create original jewelry. Art Jewelry class projects will be a mix of jewelry or small objects. Students will be taught basic knowledge of tools and materials. Class will focus on learning wire forming, cold connection, resin, found objects, stamping, texturing, rivets and more....And, you bring your bling home!

Fashionable Designs (Wednesday) $305

Fashionable Fleece! Sign up to create some one-of-a-kind chic pieces perfect for your cold-weather wardrobe! In this session we will be focusing on staying warm, and designing adorable outfits made out of snuggly fleece. We'll teach you how to take this favorite fabric and turn it into amazing, trendy pieces that you'll want to wear all winter long! From designing and sketching to seeing your vision come to life. We'll walk you through the process of sewing and decorating your pieces. You'll even get to create some accessories to give your outfit that little extra edge! At the end of the session, your friends and family will be amazed when they see you model your designs at our runway show. Join us this season and discover the designer in you!

Fencing (Wednesday) $325
3:25-4:25pm (Grades 2-4)
Fencing is one of the oldest sports and it has been a part of every modern Olympics. It requires agility and quick reaction time and it helps develop discipline and focus. Fencing classes consist of footwork, target work, partner exercises and matches. Children who take part in fencing will learn the rules, the three different types of fencing, how to move their hands and feet as well as how to defend and attack. Fencing is safe, fun and educational. It is an activity that all children can enjoy and learn from.

Financial Literacy Class (Wednesday) - Free
(Grades 2 & 3)
Never Too Young: Personal Finance for Young Learners is designed to instill a real-world understanding of personal finance and economics. The program introduces children to basic economic concepts such as banking and credit, the cost to run a family, and the importance of cost-benefit analysis in making purchases - all through fun, interactive activities such as stories and games! The program culminates with a Market Day event where the students take on the role of entrepreneurs, advertising and selling products they have made by hand. The curriculum uses the materials developed by the Council for Economic Education ("CEE"), a leading organization in the United States that focuses on the economic and financial education of students from Kindergarten through high school.

Power Brain Yoga (Wednesday) $375

Power Brain Yoga is a restorative brain exercise with breathing for better coordination and endurance. Students will use a series of movements to increase strength and balance. Power Brain Yoga's activities provide fun and healthy techniques for kids, which stimulates healthy oxygen through the child's body making them aware of coordination while simultaneously strengthening their core. The imagination and comprehension of students will be stimulated as they learn about the world and nature through the poses and philosophy of Yoga.

Choir (Thursday) - Free
If you have a passion for singing, then choir is the place for you! Building off of the skills learned in music classes, this mixed-grade choir will offer you more opportunities to explore performing in a group. The choir will perform at select school functions, giving your child experience performing.

Chess (Thursday) $395
Our chess program is designed for K-Third Grade chess players. It provides the foundation to what every beginning and intermediate chess player needs to know in order to play superior chess. Nexplore Chess Program is dedicated to improving academic performance as well as 21st century life skills. Program tracks include: 1. Increase self-control, 2. Boost self-esteem, 3. Develop and sharpen cognitive skills, 4. Enhance the ability to conceptualize and 5. Encourage non-physical competition.

Super Scratch - Coding through Java for Kids (Thursday) $510
3:25 - 4:25pm (Grades 3 & 4)
Scratch uses a graphic programming language developed at MIT. This class creates a beginner foundation in programming which can be used in other advanced programming languages. In Super Scratch, young students will learn fundamental programming concepts by creating different adventures using animations and story telling. Kids will program Scratch to do magic tricks, go on a treasure hunt, and even explore nature! No previous programming skills are required, but students should be comfortable using a computer and managing files.

A Music Activity Club (Friday) $325
Guitars, Kazoos, Ukuleles, Too!: Do you like the idea of learning to make your own music? We'll explore a wide variety of creative activities through singing, movement games, playing stringed and homemade instruments, and even composing our own songs and having a jam session. Join our musical group for inventive fun and an introduction to the essential elements of music. Acclaimed music educator, "Guitar Bob", leads the classes in joyful music making. Bring your guitar or uke if you'd like, or just bring yourself!

Cooking Wars! (Friday) $395
3:25-4:45pm (Only Grade 4)
After a fun term of Baking Wars!, Workshops Essayer has decided to turn up the heat. Welcome to Cooking Wars!, a la "Chopped" style. Students will take to the kitchen where this time they are challenged to make not one, but two dishes in one class, one of which will always be savory. Each week, students will be given a basket of secret ingredients to incorporate into their dishes. Students will learn to work their culinary magic! At the end of each class is a presentation, the taste test and the "Judges Table" Yummy!

Let's Play Rugby! (Friday) $375

This exciting traditional sport, suitable for boys and girls, will involve lots of fun tagging, evasion and team-invasion games. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of teamwork and sportsmanship through rugby-specific games. The age-appropriate curriculum ensures that everyone is thoroughly involved while developing core balance and hand-eye coordination. Absolutely no rugby experience is required; you will learn everything from a trained rugby coach. (There will be two Spring Tournaments held in Chelsea Waterside Park, 557 W. 23rd Street -Dates-TBD).

Grades 5-8

We use popular songs and dances as we continue to develop musicality, body awareness, self-esteem, physical strength and coordination and teamwork skills. Classes incorporate musicality exercises, isolations, core strengthening, breakdancing and both learning and creating choreography.  Dancers perform at the end of each session in an open dance class and are invited to dance with other Hip Hop Classes in the Hoboken area.

Magician's Club (Tuesday) $350

Magician's Club is for apprentice magicians who have completed the Discover Magic curriculum, or older students with an aptitude for magic.  This course will encourage mastery of presentation as well as original scripting by the students to create complete routines that are ready for public presentation.  The course will include spectacular professional magic tricks popularized and used by Master Magicians worldwide, including: The Mismade Dollar Bill, Telekinetic Nut and Bolt, Stiff Rope, Paddle Moves, Sponge Hearts, One in the Hand/Two in the Pocket, Foundation Card Magic, and Foundation Coin Magic.

Important Information

Attention First Time User
New parents are strongly encouraged to create their account before Friday, December 29th.  Enrichment offerings fill up very quickly and we want to ensure that families receive the best consumer service possible prior to the beginning of registration.

Registration Dates and Time:

  • Wednesday, January 3rd - 7:00PM Grades Nursery-Kindergarten
  • Wednesday, January 3rd - 8:00PM Grades 1-8                                                                                                                 
Online registration begins promptly at times specified above and is on a time sensitive first come, first serve basis. Please plan accordingly as each class has a maximum enrollment size and some classes may fill quickly. Once a class is full, you will no longer be able to enroll in that class, but will be given the opportunity to sign up for the waitlist.  You can also select an alternative class. Classes are filled based upon checkout time, not when you initially select them, so please complete the selection and checkout process within a short duration.  Please feel free to call us at 201-792-0736 for assistance between 6:30pm - 8:15pm.

Refund Policy

We offer a full refund for any courses which are dropped prior to the close of registration or canceled due to insufficient enrollment. Once the registration period is over, there will be no refunds.

Public Registration

Our Enrichment Program is open to the broader community but priority is given to student at All Saints. If you are a parent with a child in another school, please contact Iris Nunez with your desired class choices and your requests will be fulfilled on a first come first serve basis.
