Co-Curricular Classes

In addition to core academic subjects, students also participate in Specials Classes, including Art, Community Time, World Language, Drama, Music, Dance, Physical Education, Health, Technology and Library. Students in the Elementary Grades participate in Art Workshop throughout the year, where they are exposed to Art, Music, Drama, Fitness and Technology classes.

Assemblies, Presentations and Performances
We have a longstanding tradition of Fourth Graders leading our weekly assembly for Grades 1-4. This community time focuses on character education, fellowship, and community building, and provides a forum for leadership for the Fourth Grade students.  During this time, students recite the Pledge of Allegiance and the School Prayer, have an opportunity to formally greet one another, and listen to important announcements from the Head of School. In building awareness of the community at large and integrating Service Learning activities into this time, the gathering plays an important role in our shared community life.

In addition to the Fourth Grade Assembly program, students in Grades 1-8 delight their families and friends with music and dance performances during the Holiday Program each year, and have the opportunity to participate in a Fall Musical and Spring Drama.  Students also have the benefit of enjoying special assemblies to celebrate a number of occasions, including Black History Month, Women’s History Month, Chinese New Year, Diwali, and the like (Note: these special assemblies change year to year based on availability).
