Now entering her seventh year as Head of School, Ms. Singleton has 23 years of educational experience in public and independent schools in the U.S. and abroad. Ms. Singleton earned an Ed.M. in Literacy and Language from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, a B.A. in English and Journalism from Rutgers University. Prior to assuming the headship at All Saints, Ms. Singleton was one of four founding members of the Hoboken Charter School, where she served as one of two lead administrators for six years. Ms. Singleton is the proud mother of two boys, both of whom attend the Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn, and her family has been a member of All Saint Episcopal Parish for 16 years. This year Ms. Singleton is especially excited to serve on the Board of Trustees for the New Jersey Association of Independent School, and to participate as a fellow in the Klingenstein Center Heads of School Program at Columbia University. When not happily busy working with students, parents and teachers, Ms. Singleton loves knitting, spending time with her family, and walking her two dogs around our wonderful city.

Ms. Lissenden is excited to be entering her fourth year as Assistant Head of School! Before taking on this role, Ms. Lissenden spent three years working as the Director of the All Saints Abbott Program. Prior to going into administration, Ms. Lissenden taught 3rd/4th and 2nd grades and preschool, respectively. Ms. Lissenden earned a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from New Jersey City University and a B.A. in English from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. She holds a NJ State Certification in P-3 Education and as Supervisor. Ms. Lissenden, who worked as a magazine journalist before becoming an educator, is a contributing writer for several magazines, including “Dog Fancy” and “Popular Dogs,” and is a published poet. She also loves acting and has performed in various theater productions in Hoboken and New York City. Ms. Lissenden lives in Hoboken and enjoys reading, running, yoga, listening to music and going to the theater.

A resident of Hoboken for more than 20 years, Ms. Jacobus has been involved with the All Saints Parish and Day School for 18 of those years. She has served on the Board of the Day School and has been a member of the Vestry. Her children Ted (18) and Grace (16) are both graduates of the Day School and, along with Ms. Jacobus’ husband, Bob, are active members of the All Saints Community. Before taking a break from her career to be home with her children, Ms. Jacobus worked as a project manager and commercial real estate lender. She has a degree in Civil Engineering from Tufts University and an MBA in Finance from NYU. Ms. Jacobus joined the Day School staff in September 2005, as the Director of Admissions.

Ms. Nicole is very excited to return to All Saints for her seventh year! She has lived in Hoboken for almost 21 years but is now living in Parlin, NJ. She enjoys going to the Pocono Mountains to go camping with her fiancé, Joe. Ms. Nicole likes to spend time with her family and friends. She looks forward to another fun-filled year at All Saints.

Ms. Lauren is excited to begin her second year at All Saints! She has loved meeting all her new friends and looks forward to another great year seeing all the smiling faces at the St. Nicholas Center. Ms. Lauren is a lifelong resident of Lyndhurst, NJ, where she resides with her husband, Jay, and their two daughters, Lena and Mia. In her spare time, she enjoys writing and vacationing with her family in Lake George, NY.

Nursery Teacher – NICOLE BERHAUPT

Ms. Nicole is excited to be returning to All Saints for her third year. Ms. Nicole holds a M.S. in Special Education from Hunter College and a B.A. in Psychology and Elementary Education from Wells College. Prior to coming to All Saints, Ms. Nicole taught Pre-Kindergarten at Lenox Hill Neighborhood Center in Manhattan and was an Enrichment/Literacy teacher in a Head Start program in upstate NY. Ms. Nicole currently holds a NYS Pre-K-6 certification and is working on becoming certified in New Jersey. Ms. Nicole has been a resident of Hoboken for four years and enjoys all of the restaurants, shopping and culture the small city has to offer. In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Nursery Assistant – TATIANNA WISNIEWSKI

Ms. Tatianna is very excited to join the All Saints family this year.  Ms. Tatianna graduated from Quinnipiac University where she earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, and a B.A. in History.  Prior to coming to All Saints, Ms. Tatianna was a lead Nursery school teacher at Prime Time Early Learning Center.  She currently holds a NJ K-5 certification, a NJ Pre-K-12 teacher of social studies certification, and a CT K-6 certification.  Ms. Tatianna was born and raised in Connecticut.  She recently became a Hoboken resident.  In her spare time, Miss Tatianna enjoys visiting her family, reading, doing yoga, exploring Hoboken, and playing with her cat, Dennis.  She is looking forward to a great year at All Saints!

Ms. Evelyn holds a C.D.A. certificate (Child Development Associate) and has studied at Montclair State College. Ms. Rivera has 23 years of experience working with children in Nursery through Kindergarten, and she finds it a pleasure watching children grow in so many ways throughout the years. When she is not at work, Ms. Rivera enjoys spending time with her two beautiful daughters.

Ms. Allison is thrilled to begin her fourth year at All Saints. Prior to joining the All Saints family, Ms. Allison was an Inclusion Teacher at the Montclair State University Children’s Center. She also taught second grade in the Jersey City public school district and worked as an Assistant Teacher in a Special Education Pre-Kindergarten classroom in Maywood, NJ. Ms. Allison holds a Master of Arts degree in Education from Montclair State University and a Pre-K to Third Grade standard New Jersey teaching certificate. In her leisure time, Ms. Allison enjoys touring old manor houses and is a docent at Skylands Manor in Ringwood State Park. She lives in Little Ferry with her adorable feline family.

Ms. Arscott is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, where she studied Elementary and Early Childhood Education. This is Ms. Arscott’s fifth year working here at All Saints, and fourth year as a Lead Teacher in Kindergarten. Previously, she has worked with children as a camp counselor, day care teacher, and lifeguard. She is very excited to be a part of the kindergarten team again this year. Further, she tries to spend as much of her free time as possible with her feet in the sand, enjoying life at the beach.

Miss Tafel is excited to return to All Saints for her third year of teaching Kindergarten! She earned a BA in Family and Child Studies with a Concentration in Early and Middle Childhood Development from Montclair State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Reading Specialization from Kean University. Since graduating in 2006, Miss Tafel has taught fifth grade in West Caldwell and second grade in Verona. She resides in Hoboken and enjoys living and working in this amazing city. Miss Tafel loves spending time at the beach with a good book and feet in the sand. She also enjoys shopping, exercising, and loves the Yankees and anything Greek! She is looking forward to a great year with students and staff!

Ms. Reynolds is thrilled to be returning to All Saints for her third year! Ms. Reynolds holds a B.S in Early Childhood Education and Sociology from Keene State College located in Keene, New Hampshire. Ms. Reynolds is a long distance runner, and while at college, she was on the cross-country and track and field team. In her spare time, Ms. Reynolds enjoys traveling, running, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She resides in Jersey City.

Ms. Rohter is pleased to begin her second year as a member of the professional community of All Saints. She looks forward to meeting and working with our kindergarten students. Ms. Rohter earned a B.S. in Languages and Linguistics from Georgetown University while doing her practice teaching in ESL. She holds a K to Fifth Grade standard New Jersey teaching certificate. After spending many years abroad, in Latin America and Asia, Ms. Rohter most recently taught 6th grade Language Arts in Miami, Florida. In her spare time, Ms. Rohter writes short stories, enjoys reading, biking and jogging. She lives in Hoboken with her husband, Larry, and their dog Tupelo.

First Grade Teacher – RACHAEL BEESLEY

Ms. Beesley returns to All Saints for her fifth year as a First Grade teacher. Before coming to All Saints, she taught Kindergarten at Holy Angels School and Nursery & Pre-K classes at B-4 School in Fairlawn. Altogether, she has 14 years of experience in independent schools. She received her B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1997. Ms. Beesley loves reading, music, and yoga. She currently resides in Hoboken and is looking forward to another great year.

First Grade Teacher – SARAH KERR

Ms. Kerr is excited to be working at All Saints again. This is her second year as a First Grade Teacher at the Day School, but she served as a Head Teacher in the All Saints Abbott Program for four years. Ms. Kerr has her certification and Masters Degree in Elementary Education and has her P-3 certification. She recently graduated from Rutgers University with a Masters in Social Work. Ms. Kerr lives in Hoboken with her husband and loves theater, music, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ms. Loving is very excited starting her fifth year as a head teacher at All Saints. Born and raised in Bergen County, NJ, Ms. Loving earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Boston University and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Education. Since attending elementary school, Ms. Loving has always wanted to be a second grade teacher. Thus, she is particularly excited and passionate about her position at All Saints. Ms. Loving, a devoted baseball fan, loves dogs and likes to travel. She, her husband Jim, her daughter Delia, and their two dogs live in Hoboken.

Third Grade Teacher – CHRISTINA GUALARIO

Ms. Gualario is thrilled to be joining the professional faculty at All Saints. A graduate of Saint Peter’s College, Ms. Gualario holds a Master’s Degree in Education, a B.A. in Urban Studies, and certification in elementary education. In addition to her professional training and experience, Ms. Gualario is involved in theatre and has performed in several play productions over the year. As a volunteer at Mount Sinai Hospital, Ms. Gualario educated and worked with teens and children with Type I Diabetes in accordance with the Clara Barton Day Camp. In her spare time, Ms. Gualario enjoys reading, cooking, spending time with her family, soaking up the sun at the beach, and playing with her sister’s new puppy, Chloe. Ms. Gualario lives in Hoboken and is excited to have the opportunity to contribute to the community meaningful and important ways.

Grade 4 – COLLEEN NGUYEN

Mrs. Nguyen is thrilled to be joining the All Saints staff! She has co-taught Third Grade at the Hoboken Charter School for the past two years and has lived in Hoboken for the past seven. No stranger to the All Saints community, Mrs. Nguyen has volunteered at the Jubilee Center for the past several years, and holds our community in the highest esteem. Mrs. Nguyen, who holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oregon and is certified to teach in the state of New Jersey, feels especially passionate about incorporating service learning and community awareness into a vigorous academic curriculum. Mrs. Nguyen enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, Danh, and daughter, Lainey, who will also be joining the All Saints community as a Kindergarten student!

Ms. Klein has been a proud part of the All Saints Middle School team since 2008. Prior to coming to All Saints, Mrs. Klein taught special education in New York City. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Muhlenberg College and a Master’s Degree in Education from Mercy College. Mrs. Klein’s interests lie in the arts and in writing; she has previously worked as a writing tutor, professional textbook editor, and college newspaper editor and layout designer. As for the arts, she enjoys drawing, painting, and making jewelry. Mrs. Klein hails from New Hartford, CT, a small town in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. She currently lives in Hoboken with her husband, Jason, and her bulldog, Lilo. In her free time, Mrs. Klein enjoys traveling, baking, and exploring Hoboken with her family. Mrs. Klein loves being a part of the Hoboken community, which she has come to adore for its small size, great restaurants, and hidden treasures.

Middle School Math & Spirituality – LIBBY VINO

Mrs. Vino has proudly served All Saints Episcopal Day School since 2001. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies and Dance Education from New York University and a Master’s degree in Contemplative Education from Naropa University. She is an active member of the All Saints Parish and sings in the church choir. Mrs. Vino took a year away from the classroom in 2007 to spend time with her newborn son. However, she remained close to the school chairing the middle school development committee, and researching and developing the middle school curriculum. Now with two small children at home, Mrs. Vino continues to teach part time and work on the Middle School expansion. She is very excited that her son will be joining Ms. Nicole’s class for Nursery this year at All Saints. Having grown up in a very small farming community in Southern Oregon, Mrs. Vino loves teaching and raising her children in a small town and close-knit community like Hoboken, and appreciates the diversity, accessibility, and excitement of this metropolitan area. Mrs. Vino lives in Hoboken with her husband, Norm, and their children, Pascal and Beatrix.

Middle School Science – KATIE DELANEY

Ms. Delaney is excited to be returning to All Saints for her fourth year. Born and raised in England, Ms. Delaney relocated from London to the US with her husband, Neil, in December 2005. She is a graduate of Liverpool John Moores University, England where she holds a first class honors Bachelor of Education degree. After graduating college, she had a successful career in the City of London within Executive Search. Following a desire to return to the field in which she achieved her degree, Ms. Delaney taught Grades 1 through 6. She has also worked voluntarily as a reading specialist teaching and mentoring nine and ten-year-olds. Outside of school, Ms. Delaney is a keen traveler, having extensively backpacked around the US and Europe, toured Australia, South Africa and parts of Asia. In her spare time, she enjoys antiquing, playing tennis, and bike riding. Ms. Delaney lives here in Hoboken and loves the sense of community and the friendliness of its residents.

Prior to joining All Saints, Mrs. Cohen taught Fifth Grade at an independent school in the Bronx. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Education from Mount Saint Mary College, and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree for Educational Technology at New Jersey City University. Mrs. Cohen enjoys traveling, going to movies, and spending time with her family. Originally from Long Island, New York, Mrs. Cohen now lives with her husband in Cliffside Park. She is eager to start the new school year with All Saints, and excited to see all of the students and start another great year!

After School Counselor – SHIRLEY YEN

Ms. Yen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University. She was born and raised in Lawrenceville, NJ but recently moved to Hoboken and loves the quaint, little town already. She enjoys teaching in a small community because that’s where you can really get to know the students and their families. She is ecstatic to join All Saints and looks forward to having a magical school year! During her free time, she likes to cook for her friends and family, take walks along the waterfront, and travel.

After School Counselor and Substitute – AMANDA CELIC

Miss Celic is very excited about beginning her first year as a member of the All Saints team. Miss Celic earned her B.S. in Childhood Education from SUNY Cortland and will be beginning her Master’s Degree in Literacy this upcoming September. Prior to working at All Saints, Miss Celic was a first grade teacher in Phoenix, Arizona for two years. She is very passionate about working with children and especially loves teaching reading. In her free time Miss Celic loves to travel, go on long runs, and spend time with family and friends.

After School/Enrichment Coordinator – NOAH GUZMAN

Mr. Guzman, a lifelong Hoboken resident, holds a BA from Hampshire College in Creative Writing and a Master’s Degree in Education from Bank Street. College. In college Mr. Guzman created a student-based men’s support group to promote community-centered ethics, brotherhood, and an ability to freely express men’s feelings and emotions openly and comfortably. Mr. Guzman has worked in finance at the New York Mercantile Exchange. However, working with children is where Mr. Guzman derives the most satisfaction, pride and success.

Ms. Therres is entering her second year at All Saints teaching both Art and Community Time. She received her Bachelor’s in Fine Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2006 while participating in a dual degree program to receive her Master’s in Education by 2007. She is an artist with her hands in collage, mosaic, sculpture, fibers, painting, drawing, printmaking and handmade books. She enjoys exploring her hometown of Piermont and other cities in the tri-state area, in addition to making art, reading, floral design and gardening. She is looking forward to a great year with All Saints staff and students!

School Chaplain- MICHELLE WHITE

Michelle D. White, PhD, has joined the staff of the Jubilee Center as the new Executive Director. Dr. White brings an educator’s perspective to her work at the Center having spent more than 30 years as a public school teacher and administrator in NYS. In addition to her work as an educator, Dr. White has also served as an assistant pastor, foreign missionary, and community organizer.

Dr. White is also preparing for ordination as an Episcopal priest and will serve as an associate minister assisting the Rev. Geoff Curtiss at All Saints Parish here in Hoboken.

Dr. White’s perspectives and experiences are consistent with the mission of the Jubilee Center. “It is imperative that every child have an opportunity to study, learn, and grow emotionally, physically and intellectually in a safe and nurturing environment no matter who their parents are or where they live.” Achieving this goal is not a challenge; it is a 21st century imperative.”

Creative Movement – JENNIFER EISENBERG

Ms. Eisenberg is excited to be returning to All Saints for her third year! She began dancing at the age of four and has been dancing and teaching ever since. Ms. Eisenberg earned a BA in Dance, with a concentration in Education, from Marymount Manhattan College. She also spent six months studying Irish dance and music at the University College of Cork, Ireland. Ms. Eisenberg trained and taught with National Dance Institute in New York, as well as an affiliate program, NDI-New Mexico, an experience that allowed her to meet and work with hundreds of public school students throughout both states. Ms. Eisenberg has also directed dance, drama and fitness programs and classes in the tri-state area, most notably at the 92nd Street YMHA and British International School. Ms. Eisenberg has performed in and around the New York City area, in theatres such as the State Theatre of NJ, Carnegie Hall and Theresa Lang. She has especially enjoyed working in children’s theater, including “School House Rock, LIVE!.” She has also appeared as Charity (Sweet Charity), Minnie Faye (Hello Dolly!), Pearl Lady (Thoroughly Modern Millie), and Sugar Plum Fairy (The Nutcracker). In her spare time, Ms. Eisenberg is an avid yogi and nature lover. She finds motivation and insight in simplicity and the beauty around us.

Ms. Kathy holds a B. A. in Theatre Arts from Texas Wesleyan University and an M.A. in Drama from the University of Arkansas (Go Hogs!). As an actress, Ms. Kathy has worked for many regional theatres, including the Public Theatre of Maine, Arkansas Repertory Theatre, and the Oak Creek Theatre Company in Arizona. New York Theatre includes New York Classical Theatre, The Phoenix Theatre Ensemble, and the New York Fringe Festival. Her play, Aesop’s Fables, was recently published by Playscripts, Inc. Last summer, Ms. Kathy and her husband, Joe, started serving as Co-Artistic Directors for the Phoenix Theatre Ensemble in NYC. Ms. Kathy’s other play adaptations have been produced by the Hudson Theatre Ensemble, Phoenix Theatre Ensemble, and the Public Theatre of Maine.

Mr. Mauldin received his undergraduate training in piano in several places, most notably at the Conservatory of Montreal and Shenandoah University (where he finally finished his degree). He also received his Master’s in Piano from the Manhattan School of Music, and holds a level 2 Kodaly certificate from the Kodaly Institute of NYU. After a stint in the military, Mr. Mauldin began his teaching career in Belle Chasse, Louisiana where he taught music to students in grades K-8. He even served as a Kindergarten teacher for one year! Mr. Mauldin has also taught music theory, music history, and sight-singing at the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts (NOCCA) and the Good Shepherd School, a Catholic academy that exclusively serves underprivileged children in New Orleans. In August 2005, he began teaching at St. George’s Episcopal School in uptown New Orleans (incidentally he was the organist at the church connected to the school) until Hurricane Katrina, at which point he and his family moved to Hoboken. Mr. Mauldin has been at All Saints since October 2005, where he holds the position of Organist/Choirmaster and music teacher.

Physical Education, K-7 – MARTA BAEZ

Ms. Baez is excited to return to All Saints for a fifth year. Ms. Baez holds a B.A. in Physical Education, and has experience teaching aerobics, step, salsa, funky and hip-hop dancing. Ms. Baez has taught in schools and gyms in the United States and in her home country of Argentina. Ms. Baez is also licensed as a personal trainer, and has worked with adults at Bally’s Total Fitness.

Alicia

Spanish Teacher – ALICA BARERRA

Alica Barerra is from el Puerto de Veracruz, Mexico. She holds a degree in Early Years Care and Education (NVQ3) from South Thames College, London and a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from the Mexican university of “Colegio La Paz de Veracruz”. After finishing her degree in Mexico Ms. Barerra moved to London and worked for several schools – most of which were bilingual – for more than five years. During that time, she was also active in after school clubs where she also taught Spanish. Ms. Barerra loves speaking other languages and interacting with other cultures, and has spent a summer in La Rochelle, France learning French. Ms. Barerra is very active and enjoys many sports including swimming, skating and running. She lives in downtown Jersey City.

Mariola

Spanish Teacher (Grades Pre-K, K, 1, and 3) – MARIOLA DE LOS SANTOS

Ms. De Los Santos was born and raised in Sevilla, Spain, and arrived in the US 10 years ago. Since then, she has been a private tutor and then a teacher to children ages 8 months to 10 years. More recently, she has been teaching Spanish for Be Lingual!, the language school for children, where she received a formal training. Ms. De Los Santos loves sharing her Spanish culture with children. Before switching to a teaching career, she obtained a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Public Communications and Organization and worked for three years in a market research company. She currently lives in Hoboken with her husband.

Jason

Technology Consultant – JASON MAURER

Mr. Maurer is a graduate of Rutgers University where he studied Computer and Electrical Engineering. He has been a member of the Hoboken community for five years and is excited to begin his second year at All Saints. In Jason’s spare time he enjoys sailing, rock climbing and playing soccer.

ANNA MELLACE (Intern from the Episcopal Diocese of Newark)

Ms. Mellace grew up in Rome, NY. She attended the State University of New York at Geneseo, where she majored in English Literature and minored in environmental studies. Ms. Mellace was a member of the Edgar Fellows Honors Program and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Ms. Mellace performed with her college symphony orchestra, string band, and string quartets. She was also a member of the campus environmental organization and served as a tutor for the Writing Learning Center. Ms. Mellace hopes to attend graduate school in the near future, though she is still unsure of which area of study to pursue. She hopes that her year with NEWARK ACTS and All Saints will help her discern the direction of her career, and is excited to see where her year in the program will take her.
